Multi-Active Day Cream - All Skin Types

Luxe & hydrating, but not for sensitive skin

The formula truly is quite luxurious and hydrating, yet it doesn’t feel greasy or heavy on the skin. Unfortunately I think the fragrance/plant extract irritated my skin. It smells of light florals (which I imagine to be the wild teasel plant): an inoffensive creamy, floral musk with a hint of faint apple (like a real apple, not artificial apple scent). The scent is nice but I noticed mild stinging and redness of my cheeks & nose upon applying, as well as an itchy spot on my cheek. I used it as step 3 over 2 of my normal products and haven’t noticed any pilling, which is nice. I’ll be washing it off now, though, due to the irritation. I think this would be lovely for non-irritable skin, as it is visibly hydrating and I’m impressed by the lack of pilling (even while I’m trying to rub it to test). I’d still recommend it to someone who has normal/nonsensitive skin.

Hard to say if it's worth buying...

I got this as a free sample from an order I placed. I wish I could give it a recommendation or even some sort of review, however, the sample was far too small for me to review anything. Even with using less than a dime size amount, it was still just enough for a one time use. All I can say is that I didn’t have any bad side effects to my skin from this one time use. Personally, I won’t be buying it since I didn’t get a chance to tell if it does what it claims or anything at all. It's a shame, I'm 35 and with good skin but obviously wanting to step up my pre-anti aging skin care game. I'm more than willing to pay the price for a quality product if I know that it does even a little of what it claims haha and the price is actually very reasonable for this product which is an obvious bonus. However, personally I'm not interested in purchasing the product just to try and find out if the claims are true. I would have LOVED a sample size that gave me at least a few days amount so I could properly test the product.

Tried this as a sample. Leaving myself notes for future reference, because it's in the running for my next daytime moisturizer purchase. Dries down nicely on my combination skin, with no unpleasant stickiness. Skin feels smooth to the touch. It seems serviceable, but I'm not immediately in love. Perhaps less fragrance would have been nice? It's not overwhelming, but definitely noticeable.

Buy it! This product is silky, I used after the beach and it was just what my face needed.

I didn’t receive a large enough sample to judge the actual skincare benefits but I will give my first impression. This moisturizer smells nice but not overly scented. The texture is a very lightweight cream which I like. It absorbed into my skin quickly and left it feeling soft and hydrated. I may consider this one next time I need a day cream.

Love this moisturizer. The smell is my favorite when’s wake up. I don’t wear a lot of make up so this is perfect for a nice glow. I do have to wear powder sometimes or skip use due to too much shine. But my face feels amazing after using it. I already am on my second jar!

too fragranced

This seems like a nice cream but the perfume fragrance was too strong and it lingered. I know it is a signature of Clarins products so I wasn’t surprised. After trying on my face once I used the test of the sample on my body.

Wish it worked for me. Too light. Not a good scent

This cream didn't do the trick for me, did not hydrate or moisturize. It did burn and make me break out a lot, which has left a lot of marks on my face. I love scented products but I can't pin point this one, it's almost too soapy chemical like. Not a face cream type of smell. More like a detergent. Sadly this did not work well with my skin type, combo, oily tzone, dry chin and cheeks, sensitive, redness and prone to breakouts.

Silky feel, glowy look, absorbs well, decent spf

Love this cream. Got hooked on it years ago by getting a deluxe sample. Didn’t think I’d love it so much, but I really do. One star off for fragrance, but it is very pleasant and light, unlike their HydraEssentiel cream, which is horrifically over scented. This product, however, strikes a perfect balance between hydration, glowiness, spf and absorption. No breakouts, although I’m not prone. The multi active night version is also a hit imho.

Quite possibly the most underrated moisturizer of all time. I’ve been buying it for about 6 years and I am still just as obsessed. It does have a strong scent but I love it. Also the night time version is amazing as well.

Good enough to combat Midwestern winter dryness! It absorbs extremely quickly and leaves me feeling baby soft after. No residue, but there is a strong powdery floral fragrance (which I like)
