Evercalmô Ultra Comforting Rescue Mask

I can't live without this product now.

I have rosacea. My skin is always pink like I’m wearing too much blush, and sometimes (stress, temperature changes, anxiety, too much sugar or caffeine….it’s a long list) it flares up which makes it look and feel like a bad sunburn: extremely red flushed, and radiating a ton of heat. The surface temperature of the flared parts of my face (cheeks, nose, under chin) is over 100 degrees Fahrenheit while the unaffected area (forehead) is 97.5. It's awful. I started using Ren products in addition to the prescription I've used for about a year, and they have made a big difference, especially this product. I use this to calm flare ups and I don't even rinse it off, I just rub it in like moisturizer and the redness and heat is reduced by at least 50% within 30 mins, as opposed to several hours, or even a full day, without it. Previously, I'd been literally strapping ice packs to my face for relief because nothing else worked or even helped much. Now I just gently rub in a thin layer of this cream and it immediately starts feeling better. Cooled, soothed, and the redness starts to fade. I also use the redness relief serum, the gentle cleansing milk and the global daily barrier cream. Even my day-to-day pinkness is reduced. I actually had to put blush on the other day because for the first time in decades, just powder covered ALL the red tones in my face and washed me out! Further, the minor skin inflammation/swelling that is associated with rosacea is noticeably reduced, especially on my nose. I’ve already recommended all the products, the entire Evercalm line, to my sister and mother who also suffer from rosacea, and I STRONGLY encourage anyone with rosacea to try these products. I’m so grateful to, and for, this company and its products. My rosacea isn’t completely gone, because it’s an autoimmune condition and not curable, but it’s dramatically reduced and the flareups are significantly less common and less severe. It’s actually manageable now. Literally life-changing.

This stuff is great!

I have very sensitive skin and the rosacea red typically goes away at night when sleeping but comes right back as soon as I get up and start moving around. I have been using this mask as my night cream and it has been wonderful. It feels so nice and cooling going on and has really helped calm the red down during the day. It is not completely gone, but definitely improved.

Irritated my skin

I initially tried this as an overnight mask as some reviewers indicated good results, however I ended up with red, irritated, dry skin. After letting my skin heal, I tried it again and left it on for 15 minutes as instructed. Again, the mask left my skin dry, irritated, and red. Looking at the ingredient list, there are a few suspects as to what may have caused this but my top suspect is Citronellol, which is a known skin irritant. It's generally used for fragrance but can trigger skin aggravation so I don't see the benefit of including it in a mask meant to soothe. If you are sensitive to Citronellol or other citrus/lemon type ingredients then read the ingredients closely and approach this mask with caution. I have used the Evercalm Global Protection Day Cream with good results so had hopes for this mask but alas it's a hard pass.

Saved my face - an emergency must have

I accidentally combined my topical dermatologist gel and the exfolikate treatment by Kate Somerville and had an unimaginable chemical burn. I was in so much pain. The entire REN evercalm line helped significantly, but this mask was the real winner. It not only helped with redness, but it instantly stopped my pain. It’s a must have for urgent needs

Amazing!

I ruined my face from picking. I used this mask overnight and it calmed my face and hydrated all the issues I’d created. My skin felt and looked plump and hydrated. It feels sooooo nice applying the mask. Love it!

Choose the soothing face mask > rescue mask

I've always been a fan of REN skin care for their packaging and suitability for sensitive skin! This works great if I use it occasionally, especially with flaky/dry/red skin and if you're like me and tend to pick at your acne (awful habit). This does cause little bumps/breakouts if I use it too frequently though, so it's perfect for every once and awhile. I prefer their soothing face mask (creamy in texture and color) over this product, as it doesn't cause breakouts and soothes just as well.

Hate the new formula/packaging.

What used to be a 5 star review is now a 1 star. I’m so disappointed… this mask used to be AMAZING. They changed the formula and packaging and now it’s probably the worst mask I’ve ever used. It used to be a squeeze bottle so you’d get a fresh pump every time and the product stayed airtight, but now with the container it comes pretty much dried out. Application is horrible and is sticky, gummy, and clumps around like waxy chapstick. And none of the same effect it used to have. I’m so sad because I’ve used this product for years with no issue until it got rebranded.

Holy grail for dry, flaky skin!

This is a miracle product!!! I have an autoimmune disease that causes dry, flaky, inflamed skin. I have searched far and wide and spent beaucoups of money on so many different brands that claim to have skincare lines for sensitive skin, only to find my skin more inflamed and irritated (looking at you, Murad and Kiehl's). When you put this on, you feel instant relief from dry skin. It says to leave it on for 15 minutes; I leave mine on for closer to an hour. I use it before bed and when I wake up, my skin still feels as soft as a baby's bottom. I am so grateful to finally have a product that soothes instead of irritates!!!

Won’t Repurchase

This is a meh for me. It is soothing, but I don’t feel like it does anything exceptional. For the price I feel like I could have found something much better. Likely won’t repurchase.

magic?

I bought this mask because I have super sensitive and dry skin. I’ve only use the mask twice, but both times it worked like magic! The first time my face was super irritated after getting too aggressive with exfoliation, and this mask calmed it down and soothed the irritation. The second time was after two weeks of travel, and my skin was so dry and flaking off I looked like I was molting, and after using this the flakes were gone and my skin felt soft, after my normal moisturizing routine it was back to normal, if not better! Definitely will ALWAYS agave this on hand!

Works Fast!

I was having a severe stinging/burning reaction to a glycolic acid product I used and put this mask on and got instant relief. Left on 10 minutes and all irritation was gone. Followed it with the Ren evercalm serum which is also an amazingly calming product. So very thankful for this line of products with my cantankerous skin.

sooooo soothing

First off: wow! I experienced a odd rash with some sensitivity, bumps, redness, and peeling. My guess is the sun is to blame. I tried many hydrating products and nothing really worked, it was all very temporary. When I used this mask my skin immediately felt soothed. After 15 mins the dryness was gone, the redness was gone. I’m going to continue to use this on a daily basis to help with the surface hydration! No flakiness or patching! Definitely incorporating to my nighttime regimen.
